The Royal Bee-tastrophe!

A story about Winter Bees

Through mischief and disaster, the bees of Beetown swarm together, but can they work fast enough to save the queen's parade?

Winter is almost here! Soon the bees of Beetown will seal their hive.

But first, Betty and her sisters must prepare for the royal parade. There is so much to do, and her boring big brothers refuse to help! They’re such a bunch of drones! All they do is hang around all day, eat all the food, and annoy the pollen out of everyone.

When the drones start causing trouble, Betty promises nothing will ruin the queen's big day.

But uh-oh! Queen Blossom is already on her way!

The Royal Bee-tastrophe! is a picture book, but it has a comic book vibe that kids will love. Stunning illustrations and bold dialogue keep the action moving across the page, giving young readers a sense of high stakes adventure.

And while Beetown is fictitious, the story is firmly planted in science, and is designed to trigger the curiosity of children regarding honeybees, their environment, and the way these little creatures interact with each other to survive the winter.

A special section in the back offers fun facts about honeybees and focuses on themes that can be found inside the book.
